The objective of this drill is to improve your first touch but also to be able to move the ball with two touches.
You will need a partner (parent/guardian or friend) one ball and 3 cones. Set the cones up in a triangle.
One player passes the ball to the other player who must use the first touch to move the ball around a cone and then pass through the triangle. The other player needs to anticipate the movement of the other player and the pass she will make. When receiving the ball the other player must use the first touch to move the ball around a cone and again pass it through the triangle.
Challenge the other player with a first-to 5 competition. Each point is won if the receiving player doesn’t use their first touch to get around the cone or doesn’t pass it through the triangle.
Make it more difficult by both using your weaker foot, using different parts of the boot to shift the ball and of course speed up the movement and weight of the pass.
