The objective of this drill is to promote good footwork. This will help you be ready in all scenarios on a football pitch.
You will need one ball, seven cones and a rebounder (rebounder/wall, friend or parent).
Start in the middle of the four cones and punch the ball back and forth to the rebounder. Then introduce stepping back or forth to a coloured cone before receiving the ball back. Once confident doing this then introduce turning out and dribbling out to the outer cone and returning.
Pace will make this drill harder as will the speed with which you punch the ball in initially as you will have less time to act.
