Fullback

Fullback Curriculum

As a fullback, your role in a game scenario can change based on the formation your team may be playing. At the heart of the full-back role is to defend and this must be a priority in terms of your development, practice and thinking. There are a few formations you could play, back four, back five or a back three with wing backs. Each has to have a heavy focus on defending but the modern player in this position will also have a significant attacking role to play.

When looking at the drills on She Plays Football have a good balance between defensive and midfielder drills as this will cover most of the development you need as a full back.

We have broken down our curriculum into three sections:

Specific Attributes
In-Possession
Out-of-Possession

We have also suggested some training videos in each area.
